Le Guin’s The Word For World Is Forest is part of her sprawling, massive science-fiction series The Hainish Cycle each novel can be read on its own, thankfully, since I’ve not read the whole cycle and don’t know where this particular installment fits in with the rest… And once the killing starts, there is no turning back. After that Petey reprogrammed 80-HD to obey Li'l Petey because he thought Li'l Petey would become evil with his power but instead 80-HD became best friends with Li'l Petey and they were happy being friends, but Petey wasn't, so he put him inside 80-HD as a suit for Li'l Petey. ![]() He was built by Petey so that he could take Li'l Petey away from Dog Man's house. Li'l Petey is seen rebuilding him in the next book. ![]() He then is used (in Robo-Suit Mode) to help save the city from the Beasty Buildings, but he gets destroyed in the battle. In Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties, Petey introduces Li'l Petey to see his new creation, and then when Lil' Petey goes missing, is used to track down the aforementioned little kitten.
